Last Saturday afternoon we attended Alyssa's School Christmas Family Fellowship. It was a simple get together of parents and teachers of the Nursery class. The afternoon was highlighted with parlor games that the parents and children enjoyed. one game was Trip to Jerusalem Eat Bulaga style. A couple of kids cried in this game maybe because they were caught by surprise when the parent sit on their lap after the teacher shout "kandungin si Mommy/Daddy". But even so this was a funny game coz both parent and child tried their best to win. Candies were also given to the children but with a twist. the teachers scattered the candies on the floor and gave each kid with a plastic bag and at the cue they will get all the candies they can get. the twist is, after they have get all the candies they want, they were asked to form a circle and give the candies they got to the child on their right. Imagine Alyssa's disappointment when after she chose the candies she want she will have to let it go. Well, their teachers were just teaching them to be a giver. After that Alyssa ended up not having any candy at all, maybe one kid got one too many. when the teacher saw that she didn't have any of her own she gave her some anyway. All in all it was a fun afternoon both parents and kids alike enjoyed.

I was checking my email inbox the other day and found this email that was forwarded to me and thought i might share this . Have fun reading this :-)

God Explains Life (",)
On the first day,
God created the dog & said:
"Sit all day by the door of your house &
bark at anyone who comes in or walks past.
For this,I'll give you a life span of 20 years.'
The dog said: 'That's a long time to be barking.
How about only ten years & I'll give you back the other 10?
'So God agreed.
On the second day,
God created the monkey & said:
'Entertain people, do tricks, & make them laugh.
For this, I'll give you a 20 year life span.
'The monkey said: 'Monkey tricks for 20 years?
That's a pretty long time to perform.
How aboutI give you back 10 like the Dog did?'
And God agreed.
On the third day, God created the cow & said:
'You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and
suffer under the sun, have calves & give milk to support the farmer's family.
For this, I will give you a life span of 60 years.'
The cow said: 'That's kind of a tough life you want me to live for 60 years.
How about 20 &I'll give back the other 40?'
And God agreed again.
On the fourth day,
created man and said:
'Eat, sleep, play, marry & enjoy your life.
For this, I'll give you 20 years.'
But man said: 'Only 20?
Could you possibly give me my 20,
the 40 the cow gave back,
the 10 the monkey gave back,
and the 10 the dog gave back;
that makes eighty, okay?' ,
' said God, 'You asked for it.
' So that is why for our first 20 years
eat,sleep, play & enjoy ourselves.
For the next 40 years we slave in the sun to support our family.
For the next 10 years we do monkey tricks
to entertain the grandchildren.
for the last10 years we sit on the front porch & bark at every one

Nichole attended her first party...

Our neighbor's son turned 1 yr old yesterday, so my two daughters was invited on the b-day party. Ate Alyssa had a great time and even joined some of the games. Baby Nichole, on the other hand, had no clue on what's going on. Well, what do you expect from a 6- month-old baby. Anyway, I think baby Nichole had a grand time as well.

Lessons Learned
by: Author Unknown, Source Unknown

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live.

They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, “How was the trip?”

“It was great, Dad.”

“Did you see how poor people live?” the father asked.

“Oh yeah,” said the son.

“So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?” asked the father.

The son answered: “I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon.

“We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.

“We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs.

“We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.”

The boy’s father was speechless.

Then his son added, “Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.”

For a couple of months now I have been addicted to digital scrappin’, these are a few of my projects. I made some for Alyssa using her baby pics since I haven’t made a scrapbook for her. Well I have lots of materials to use to make her scrapbook I’m just a procrastinator that’s why I haven’t finished it yet, hope I will have plenty of time to spare for this projects. I also made some for my baby Nichole but I’m not able to get good pictures of her coz my digicam has a mind of its own and won’t let me get good shots.
